Babe Ruth's Legacy

With being a American icon, his life off the diamond came pretty easy. On October 17, 1914 he married his first wife Helen. A few years later they adopted their first child, Dorothy, in 1921. All was well for Babe until 1925 when he and his wife got divorced. To this day no one really knows why they split, only assumptions. Three years later he re-married to Claire Merrit Hodgson, an actress and model at the time. Later after they got married Babe adopted Claire's daughter, Julia, to be his daughter.
